Vegetarian Shammi Kababs


    • 100 grams Black chana
    • 50 grams Chana daal
    • 1 medium potato boiled and grated
    • 1 onion sliced
    • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
    • ½ teaspoon Chat masala
    • Salt, according to taste
    • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
    • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger Powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Paste
    • Few coriander leaves
    • Lemon juice with ½ lemon
    • 1-2 green chilli
    • Few chopped mint

Ingredients for Frying

    • Oil


    • Soak black Chana overnight and Chana dhal for two hours.
    • Take the black Chana in a pressure cooker with water level ¼ inch above it and place the Chana dhal in a vessel over it. Give one whistle and simmer for 20 minutes.
    • Grind Chana and the dhal coarsely and mix well with all the above ingredients.
    • Divide the dough into equal balls, shape into kebabs and shallow fry in hot oil until light golden brown and serve hot.
